Sam Boyd's Childminding
I am a Forest Childcare Provider and I believe that spending time outdoors is very important. The children go outdoors here every day, at least once a day, no matter what the weather because I believe that fresh air and wide open spaces are good for them. We have a fully enclosed back garden that the children can access whenever they want. We also live near to lovely parks, woodland areas, nature reserves and beaches and we visit these places at least once a week.
Training & Experience
I have an enhanced CRB and hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate. I also have a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Childcare and have undergone regular updates in my training including the new Introduction to Montessori for childminders for which I was involved in the pilot scheme.
Typical Weekly Activities
A typical week would include visits to the library, beach or woods, nature walks, parks, play groups, music groups, soft play and other childminders homes. There would also be some adult led activities but mostly child led play is encouraged so that your child learns at their own pace and engages in play that they are interested in.
My opening hours are Monday to Friday 8-6, although am happy to consider outside of these hours.
I pick up from River Beach Primary School and am happy to discuss pick-ups/drop offs at various nurseries/play groups
